I grew up in Indiana, with a single parent and no siblings. Young and queer, I didn't have much to relate to in the sparse world around me. That's why I started reading, watching, and playing as many works as possible, to try to catch just a glimpse of what I could someday expect to find outside of my hometown. In 2014, I moved to New York to put what I had learned to the test. Since then, I've written hundreds of articles across dozens of publications.
